Title: Midtown Village Shopping Center
Post by: In_Tulsa on June 27, 2008, 01:05:45 pm
What's the deal with this center? It has a great location but they can't get any stores I read in the paper they are giving six months free rent and still nobody. I know its kind of hard to get to but still it's a nice part of town lots of nice houses right behind Best Buy. So I would think that the money is there plus it's right off the highway. Any thoughts?

The owner has stated the smaller stores won't fill in until their is dining in the outparcels (they don't even have a subway at this point) He hasn't had a hit yet on the outparcels as well as his third anchor store has been slow to move.

Is there a third anchor talked about yet?

For the uninitiated, Midtown Village = the Best-Buy / Bed-Bath-Beyond / nothing-else "center" on Skelly

I'm surprised call-centers or vapor shops haven't taken up some spots.

I once heard that Olive Garden was going to be an out parcel, but the I-44 construction killed it and any momentum this center had.

The I-44 corridor will rebound once it is done.

Looks like Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen will be putting there first Oklahoma location here. This will turn around this shopping center!

I'm not a big seafoodie, but that restaurant is a serious game changer.  My relatives from NY will be coming to visit more often just for that reason!

Plus it'll be smack in the middle between their favorite casinos.

That would really breath some new life into this moribund center.  Do you have a source?
