Did anybody shed a tear that Runts BBQ by the Bass Pro closed down ?
I ate there right after they opened and did not like it very well. We waited over a hour after we were seated and the Ribs were pink the cole slaw tasted bad and they had ran out of baked beans. I did have lunch there a couple of times after(carry out) and the sandwiches and salads were pretty good. I thought they were a bit overpriced but alway's busy enough to at least stay in business. Anyone know anything about what happened or is it the same old economy excuse ?

Overpriced is overpriced in any economy.
They catered a function for me a month ago and were fine. It wasn't too expensive ($275 for 28 people).
I thought their chopped brisket was good and their chicken as well.
I did not care for their sauces however.
My experience with them was always fairly good. I thought they had enough business to stay open. That leads me to believe it was something other than lack of business.
When did they close? I just read a review on the Tulsa food blog the other day and gave them a call today and was well open.
Were they really open today? I heard from KOTV.com that they were closed. No confirmation though...
Could you have reached one of their other locations? Muskogee...
Yes closed...I find it sad when any mom-pop business closes even if it wasn't great...but they gave it a try! Live the Dream!
Did the one on Wagoner close also?
