Title: Spam from IRON.org
Post by: patric on April 09, 2009, 09:42:23 am
Anyone else get spammed from "IMMIGRATION REFORM FOR OKLAHOMA NOW" out of Jenks?

It asks you to "forward all emails in your neighborhood association" so I can guess how they are getting their addresses.

They want support for HJR  1042  "English as Official Language" which they apparently see as Immigration Reform.

They justify the spam with "We comply with the can-spam in that our mailing list is opt-in and that we give instructions" but of course there was no opt-in nor instructions...

I wish whoever named it the "can spam" act would post on here so I could give them + karma.

I replied to it:

"Ich bin sehr interessiert an Informationen aus Ihrer Organisation. Ich unterstütze Ihre Initiative und möchte mich Ihrer Organisation."

I haven't heard back from them yet.
