MONTCOAL W.V. — Protesters from Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kan., headed to the Upper Big Branch mine Thursday morning to convey the message that the explosion there that left 25 miners dead was a result of e-mail messages allegedly sent from West Virginia threatening the Church and its publisher, according to a statement from the Church.

Someone needs to remind Fred Phelps that God hates spousal and child abuse.
Maybe there will be a rock-slide on the way there......They also could be messing with the wrong folks on this one....
Ya know. . . I guess you can call anything a church now. Who sits around and dreams up "holy" reasons for tragedy?

Phelps better hope the West Virginia State Police are on hand when he protests. Miners aren't above using their fists, or even their deer rifles.

I would love to see all kinds of people protesting this church whenever they have their meetings. A bit of turn about is always great with this type.

membership is limited to the Phelps family and the "church" is on the family compound. I think it was Nathan that shared about a 250 page expose on them. Creepy people. I made it through about 60 pages or so that was all I needed to know

Still makes me wonder how they would react if a large group of people stood outside their "church", or at least the compound, with protest signs.
