Was in Ella's Deli near TU today having a Cuban Sandwich and they had a notice on the table that they are moving in November.
The new place will be called Ella's Good Food and they will be relocating to Ranch Acres Plaza 30th and Harvard.
Will start out being open for lunch only as they are now but will eventually be open for dinner too.
Darn. One less place within reasonable walking distance for me. :(
Well, that is closer to me so I couldn't be happier
I've never been there. I still miss Mark's Super Sub. :(
Yay, they followed me further south ;)
I am happy for them. I think the move will help them become the restaurant they want to be.
Good news for me:) and hopefully for the deli as well. Which space are they going into?
The old B52 pizza place?
I drove by Ella's today and they have opened for business.
I did not stop to check them out, did not have time.
Has anybody been in there?
I'll make a point to get by there next week.
I love Ella's. Wish they were downtown, actually.
Well, Ella's Good Food is actually not open for business yet. :(
Fun with City and Health Dept. issues and final fine tuning before we do open. We are thinking sometime early December, hopefully. You can friend us on the facebook to keep up with when we will officially open under Ella'sGoodFood
3023 South Harvard Ave. in the Ranch Plaza center. The same center as My Thai.
Same great menu as the old Ella's, plus true from scratch cooking (of course) homestyle and other delights. We will be open for Lunch and Dinner in the eves.
It was either 15th street, Downtown, or Mid-town, and felt that Midtown, and us being old school for the most part was a great fit. We are very easy to get to from Downtown though.
We went from 1100sq ft. to just about 3000 sq ft. with a stage which will be fun for local jazz folks to play, and who knows what else.
We are very excited to open and offer up some really Good Food.
By the way...Our "Ella" Fitzgerald" is our Bassett Hound.
Forrest and Karen Camp are the owners of Ella's Good Food.

First seat taken, two more available.
Hard to pass up a free lunch.
I was in tonight and had the swordfish and highly recommend it. Tuesday I will be in for a french dip.

See you there!
That fills the table. I'll be there 11:30 to get a table.
I've met Conan so I know what he looks like. Townsend and Stageidea will have to look for me. I'm 59/ blond hair and mustache and I wear glasses, tomorrow I'll wear a green sweater if that helps.
I'll send you my cell phone number. If you can't figure out where I am call and wave.
I'm looking forward to lunch tomorrow.
I look like a 39 year old Bud Bundy. See you at 11:30.
I will try to be there as well...

Good description, I'd never thought of that, but yeah, spot on.
Me? I'm tall, dark, and Sagitarius

Oh, you international man of mystery...
I look like one of the Viking guys on the Capital One credit card commercials.

I went with the green sweater as well. Thought I'd try to fit in.
I know Conan and the viking so I'll look for them too.

I'm tall dark and vagitarius.....
You have no excuse for not showing up for this one, it's close to your casa.
Do they have a vagitarian menu....I'm tube-steak intolerant.....
Unreliable source was reliable. Thank you for lunch!
I had a great Cubano sandwich with sweet potato fries. They fly Cubano bread in from Tampa. That's always the part which seems to be missing on other Cubanos I've tried locally.
I noticed the menu has expanded with the new location. Give them a try, I've never had a bad meal there.
Source, thanks for lunch.
It was good to see the green sweater crew + 1.
The reuben is excellent and good service.
I think the Viking's chicken fry looked the best out of all of it. I meant to ask RM, how was your heavily pounded meat?
Thanks again for lunch, unreliablesource. It was nice to match screen names with faces.
The Rueben was great! I will certainly be headed back to Ella's in the near future.
The chicken fried steak was excellent. I make better gravy, but the potatoes and bread were perfect. I didn't come close to finishing my wedge of salad. It needed a little more dressing, but the tomatoes and bacon really added into the flavor.
I really liked the meal. The owners were gracious, the waitress laughed at my jokes, and the food was yummy. Add to that great conversation from other TulsaNow posters and I loved lunch today.
I am getting a cuban sandwich next time. I will probably take the family there next week.
You're welcome guys. It was great getting together with everyone.
Glad you enjoyed Ella's Good Food.
Drove by about 6:30 last night. They looked packed. That's great for a Tuesday.
I hope that's a sign of their future.
