And it seems to be likely that she will be elected.

Well, what can you expect from the Kool-Aid drinkers that keep on electing Jim Inhofe?
And want to cut taxes so we can spend even less on education.
And roads.
And other basic state services.

Not like they were going to, anyway.  This is Oklahoma, remember?

I've watched the commercials for both and the thing I keep wondering is why is Askins defending herself against Fallin's BS?

Why not just state "I have more experience and will do a better job.  Do you want to someone like that for Governor of Oklahoma or just someone who hates the President of the United States?"?

Jari Askins response to Mary Fallin was a claim that she's an "Oklahoma Conservative" because she didn't vote for TARP. Well yea, Ms Askins was Lt Govenor in 2008, not in Congress so she couldn't vote for it.  Askins doesn't claim to be against TARP, just that she didn't vote for it so that is a reason why she's an "Oklahoma Conservative"?

Considering democrat party leaders in the House such as Pelosi, Hoyer and Frank voted in favor of TARP in 2008, you really believe Askins would have gone rogue and voted no if she had the opportunity?

Askins is not not an "Oklahoma Conservative" as the commercial claimed. Sorry, that's a Dukakis in the tank moment that hurt what little chance she had by presenting herself as something she's not.

Good to know Olberman stuck to the facts. Like the fact that Askins and Fallin were speaking separately, at different times, and both candidates had said they would not allow members of the other candidates team in the room.
