Roller Derby is great. I took the kids to the match in Sand Springs two weeks ago.

Tulsa has two different teams and leagues. There are now hundreds of teams across America.

This is the hot new sport. The girls don't fake fight, but do push each other down. The Jammers are fast and the bigger girls ain't afraid of getting physical.

Saw a pretty good movie after work yesterday on the tube called 'Whip It' with Ellen Page, playing a small-town Texas teen whose mother is pushing her into beauty pageants, but finds her calling as "Babe Ruthless".

Was just talking to someone that does derby out in SS, just can't remember who it was now.  And it has only been a couple of days since the conversation.

I haven't been out to the Sand Springs derby yet.  My photos are from Broken Arrow.

I loved watching Bay Bombers on TV from Kezar Pavillion when I lived in the bay area way back when. I even went and saw a match in San Jose once.

Seriously.  Cockfights are no illegal in Oklahoma.

They used to.  Not sure if it just went further underground after they outlawed it.
