18th and Boston. Heard a rumor these buildings will go down and a small strip (a la where Double Shot is) development. Any confirmation?

Can't confirm but have heard Pink is on its way out.

Well, that would suck...parking in the front boo.
Good point but I heard it might resemble Center One.
What a shame. That building has such character. Pink had a short life to begin with. Places like those only stay popular for a short period of time. Hopefully the new strip (1) goes up to the curb and (2) includes at least one watering hole and/or restaurant.
Cool exterior for sure. Those money laundering bikers from NOLA dicked the inside up beyond repair back 8 years ago. I heard McGrath sold the Pink building recently. Something is in the works.
Yes, Louisiane along with maybe 4 other restaurants were at one time the best in town. Was it Tommy Duncan who chanted "time changes everything" ?

What were the years for Louisiane? I think I remember eating there once shortly after we moved here in 1971. It might have been while I was in the Navy, home on leave, or shortly after I got out of the Navy in 1976.

That is an absolute must. Any way we can see what is proposed?
I don't think anything has been filed. Again, this is baseless info coming from hear say.... a rumor.
Kallmeyers owned Louisiane....dating back to the early 60's and into the late 70's.

Then Bill Poulous got ahold of it and ran it into the ground. They moved to 81st & Memorial around '92 and lasted maybe 6 months if that.
If the name "Poulous" registers, he was the dipshit behind "team rodeo" as in the Tulsa Twisters. What a total doosh of a businessman.

I worked at the 81st St location for about a week...one of the worst service experiences of my life. How in the heck can you run out of ranch dressing in Tulsa, OK? Thankfully I was working for tips because no one in the kitchen and none of the vendors got paid.
