Two homes on two different lots were razed. According to the assessor's website, both properties were recently purchased by Timothy & Alice Hewett. Any idea what may be going in or plans for the property? FYI, I heard that ABC rental is going to pave these lots, fence them, and use them as a storage yard for rental machinery. The homes that were there were eye sores themselves, but the last thing needed is another ABC Rental property. Hopefully they will try and make it more attractive than the aluminum office building they just built.

This stretch of 15th has never taken off like its counterpart further west even though it has some great local businesses (but lacks bars/restaurants). Nice neighborhoods on both sides too. A streetscape would be nice to see here since it is mostly pretty walkable even in its current state. This doesn't help though.

The restaurant is going in at the corner of 15th and Gary, just a block west of Merritt's in that Florence Park strip center. Luna Bread used to be there. The new place should open in April and be called Florence Park Cafe. |
