OKLAHOMA CITY – Beer and bullets, liquor locked and loaded, wine and weapons; one Oklahoma City man said he wants to have a bar at his gun range expected to open its doors soon.
Co-owner and general manager of the proposed Wilshire Gun, Jeff Swanson, said he has a plan to ensure it stays all fun and games and no one loses an eye.
Swanson said in the plan, customers will scan their driver's license before they start shooting, either on the gun range or in the bar.
He said once the customer scans their ID to purchase a drink, it will no longer allow them to shoot on the gun range that day.

M'kay.
Why not simply open a bar if you want to own a bar instead of muddling it with a gun range? If memory serves me correctly, you would also need to lock up your weapons before you start drinking as it would be illegal to be in possession of your firearm(s) while on the premises of a drinking establishment and while you are drinking.

It would be cool if the dividers in the lanes had little windows that you could bounce a quarter through.
I wonder if they will offer a full menu?

Sounds like Darwin waiting to happen.
Alcohol causes conflict. Guns resolve conflict.
Sounds like a good way to thin the herd in OKC. ;D
If this gets approved somehow, I think all hope is lost for OKC.

Saw that, wonder when Smoot will go and check for violations. So, can't reform liquor laws, but can include a bar at a gun range. And people wonder why I won't move back.
Hmmmm, maybe I might see about building a bar out at Hallett, or a drive through at the dragstip, get your time slip for the 1/4 mile and a bbreathalyzer test after each run. (snark)

Brent Fairchild with the Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement Commission says he believes it will be the first gun range in Oklahoma to serve alcohol.
Fairchild says no matter how many safeguards are in place, people will find a way to get around them."People" meaning "ABLE," "find a way" meaning "compliance checks."
