"Green Country will turn "green-minded" at Tulsa Zoo's Earth Fest on Saturday, April 22, 2006. In an effort to increase environmental awareness throughout the Tulsa and surrounding communities, the Tulsa Zoo will host an Earth Day event in true festival-style, filled with fun and educational activities including a farmer's market and outdoor adventure activity area the whole family will enjoy! Through Earth Fest, we hope to educate and motivate children and adults to positively impact their communities with "earth-friendly" habits.
During the event, Tulsa Zoo will also present an award to honor an outstanding Earth Day Hero in Green Country who exemplifes conservation through an "earth-friendly" lifestyle. Start "earth-Friendly" habits by RECYCLING your old cell phone for 1/2 price zoo admission."
