Title: Tulsa Tough Cycling - Rides & Criterium Racing
Post by: PonderInc on May 31, 2006, 01:59:12 PM
If you've never seen criterium bicycle racing, get down to Riverside Dr. (between SW Blvd and Galveston) on Sunday! (Friday's events take place at the Blue Dome district, and Saturday races/rides will start from the Brady/Greenwood districts.)

On Sunday, professional and elite, amateur cyclists will be racing from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM though neigborhood streets near Riverside Dr and Galveston. (Bide rides from 50 KM to 100 Miles will also take place, starting at 7:00 AM.)

In criterium racing,  the course is a small loop (less than a mile) which means that about 100 cyclists will be zipping around and around the course, allowing spectators to follow the race from one location.

Live music (Midwest Kings, Citizen Mundi, Hero Factor), events for the kids, and exciting men's and women's bike races... Is there any place you'd rather be?!
