Here's the actual article: http://www.spiritmag.com/2007_08/features/ft5.php (//%22http://www.spiritmag.com/2007_08/features/ft5.php%22)
I haven't finished it yet but it's pretty nice so far!
Finished it....
There are quite a few wrong facts... Like in the art deco section, it points to a picture of the Atlas Life lobby, calls it the Mid-Continent lobby, and claims that the Mid-Con building was Tulsa's first skyscraper..
Still a good piece on Tulsa, though.
I'd like to get a copy of the magazine but I don't want to fly to get it. Anyone know how?
Also, part of the 110 W. 7th Building has been mysteriously cut off in the main picture featuring downtown.... weird.

I was at an alumni event for law school/business school folks last week. Was talking over cocktails to a guy from California who's running an aggressive private equity fund here in Dallas and he had read this article a while back. Based on the impressions he got from the article, he and his partners did some futher diligence and then added Tulsa to the list of Sun Belt cities in which to actively seek investment opportunity.
He could have just been blowing smoke, but my point is that a lot of people read that article and got a great impression of the city. A little publicity goes a long way. And yeah, got his card.
