I like Fleming's, Red Rock Canyon Cafe, and Mahogany's.

What about the rest of you?

Dalesandro's makes some pretty mean Italian. If you can catch them when they are open, Ichiban Teriyaki makes the best non sushi Japanese around. and Rio Verde for Mexican can't be beat.

Geeze, Der Teufel, do you go out to eat three times a year or simply have an unlimited dining budget?  With admittedly limited encounters, I've found two of your three choices significantly overpriced for their fine offerings. The third still awaits my inagural visit.

For far more casual dining, this household prefers BBQ brisket take-out at the take-out-only Wrangler's, burgers and fresh pie at the not-aging-gracefully Brownie's, and the ample portions of tasty surf and turf at McGill's.

That said, I heard a rumor that the famed Ruth's Chris Steak House chain is headed this way.  Anyone here have any information on that?

I like the Golden Corral in Owasso for the breakfast buffet. It's the best one I've found lately. I used to go to Ollie's but the service wasn't too good after it was sold.
El Chico's is always good for mexican food.
Tin Star has a pretty good chicken fried steak.
Texas Roadhouse has a lot of good stuff to eat. The rolls are wonderful.

Who has the best chicken fried steak in Tulsa?

I tried that place and got a pizza that was tasteless and the dough wasn't even cooked!

Mario's Pizzeria - absolutely wonderful, absolutely best pizza in Tulsa.

Napoli's Italian in BA - really good and reasonably priced.

Las Americas for mexican lunch.

White River for seafood.

Hooters for wings.

I think Hooters puts all their effort into ambiance. I like Wing Run for when I don't care about the ambiance.

I always do take-out from Hooters. I feel absolutely stupid in that atmosphere. Maybe if I was in my 20's it wouldn't be so uncomfortable.

Interesting in that one of their eastern U.S. franchise holders and his wife are Tulsa natives.

Steak - Mahogany
Charburger - Goldies
Greasy burger - Ron's
Breakfast - Savoy
Thai - Lanna Thai
Chinese - Royal Dragon/P.F. Changs
Bakery - Merritts
Seafood - White River
Family Chain Restaurant - Cheddars
Indian - Desi Wok (I hear it's under new management and it's terrible now)
Meditteranean - Halim & Mimi's
Chicago style pizza - Savastano's
New York style pizza - Mario's
Italian - Pomodori's

I still need to find the best BBQ and fried chicken to complete my list.  Please don't anyone suggest Rib Crib.  I have been overall disappointed with most of the BBQ I have had since I moved here from California 2 years ago.  I had Wilsons many years ago, but I hear it is not the same anymore.  I have tried Elmers, Billy Simms, Billy Ray's, Rib Crib, Runts, Famous Daves, Knotty Pine, Albert G's, and Papa Tom's BBQ in Bixby.  The only ones I would rate above average are Albert G's and Papa Tom's, but Papa Tom's closed about 3 months ago.  Albert G's is good, though, but not great.

If you don't mind the drive, Wildhorse BBQ outside Sallisaw is pretty darn good.  I mean, it was the last time I drove through there about 10 years ago.  ANd you had to buy your drink from a Coke machine.  It was memorable.

We do go out quite a bit.  Not much else to do in this town.

I have to say about Fleming's, I have been there several times, and almost every time, I have seen a striking brunette and a rather large man who looks like he stepped out of a Soprano's episode, complete with cigar and gold accouterments. Scary, but kind of interesting.

I have thought about approaching them on occasion, but my wife says if the man looks like a gangster, he might be one...

What days and times is your back yard open? I'll bring the ribs, wy wife and my ten-year-old daughter. And maybe your favorite beer.

Usually Sunday nights.  I even have a pool your daughter would enjoy.

Table 10 is now Lava Noshery.  Haven't been there, but have attended a community food bank dinner featuring the chef, who was great.

A new restaurant called Chicory & Chives is open in the old Papa's location on Charles Page Boulevard, it's easy to get to for downtown folks. There's a new owner, and they haven't redecorated the place yet, but they are going to. The food is pretty good, they have great Jambalaya and Crawfish Etouffe.

I drive by this joint every time I drive back to Mena.  I've always wondered if it was good or not, but I've never stopped.  It does smell good driving by.  I'll definitely have to stop next time.

US 59 is being relocated over Wildhorse Mountain and soon will no longer run in front of Wildhorse BBQ.  Whether this will affect business remains to be seen.

Rio Verde has great Mexican street food.

Stone Horse is excellent, really one of the good places.

'A Bar' reportedly has good food again, after it changed ownership (formerly Grapevine).

In The Raw of course, very good.

Lola's in the Brady District has a 'dartboard' menu.

Thai Siam has very enjoyable casual food and friendly staff.

Tucci's is still very good.

We do those guest chef wine dinners at the Food Bank Culinary Center every month.  Upcoming:  Marcus Vause of A Bar on 9/13, Michael Funk of Polo Grill on 10/11, Justin Thompson of The Brasserie on 11/15, and 12/13 will feature the CFBEO culinary director.

Buckeye mentioned A Bar - Marcus is doing fantastic food there.  And The Brasserie absolutely must make the list of "Best in Tulsa."
