Title: Open-source virus scans / Windows utilities Post by: rwarn17588 on August 17, 2007, 11:59:33 am I really like open-source programs like Mozilla on my computer (Windows XP).
Can anyone recommend a good open-source program that prevents viruses? Are there any open-source programs to clean/repair minor Windows XP problems? I found a few anti-virus progs.

If you want open source why don't you try an open source operating system 99% of them are free and I do not even run an anti virus. There are several live CD's, the operating system runs 100% off the CD no need for a hard drive. I've used the Zone Alarm free firewall too, but not on this machine. It has both Norton and MS firewalls for the moment. Title: Open-source virus scans / Windows utilities Post by: Townsend on August 17, 2007, 03:12:03 pm AVG
