One of my favorite holidays. I'm the house on 28th with music (Time Warp, Hitchcock, This is Halloween, Thriller, The Imperial March, etc.), black lights, a glowing orange garage, orange Xmas lights, and a robot cat thing by our stash of gourds. Candy for the kiddies and a can of beer for any parent that's dress up!
Good times will be had by all.
I am deeply depressed because the fog machine we bought last year is not working. We have a graveyard out front, ghosts on the porch, scary music, etc.... Nothing better than a holiday were kids can, legally, go begging door to door.
Happy Halloween to all.
Now I have to go steal some chocolate from my kids halloween bag.
Heh, I've been celebrating it on the couch with pain killers and an ice pack on my knee.
No trick-or-treating with a shot glass for Conan this year. [:(]
According to reports, 92% of American children take part in trick-or-treating. I am disappointed by the number of houses in my neighborhood that appear to do their part. I saw at least three neighbors that have children I know were out but made sure their houses remained dark. One had a kid trick-or-treating and I saw one group of adults (grown up son and gf seem to live with them) taking off for a party all dressed up... but the house was dark.
LAME. At least turn your light on and toss a few tootsie rolls out the door from time to time.
Last year some little morons tossed a string of firecrackers on my roof and THEN rang the bell for trick or treat. I don't mind harmless pranks, but not on my roof kids... and usually you do it AFTER extracting the candy. No trouble at all this year. Best costume goes to a parent who went as Shaggy and had a Scooby looking dog on a leash, his kid was something lame.
Good times, I bet we had 25 trick or treaters in 12 different groups. Not bad for my neighborhood (and I bet a lot skipped our street since it was largely dark). Now I have to take all this crap down and change all my light bulbs back to normal. [;)] No Xmas crap until after thanksgiving please.
Thought you guys might enjoy seeing sgrizzle all done up for Halloween.

We always get a huge crowd--I would say over 100. People drive to our neighborhood to trick or treat. I'm fine with that--though I prefer that only kids ask for candy. If you're shaving, you're too old to trick or treat. Also, if you are going to drive over here, please park, get out of the car, and walk with your kid. I can't tell you how many cars creep up and down the street, following their kids--it's sure to result in an accident one of these days.
We dressed up as a family and went to a party on Saturday night.
We went as a family tree.
My wife glued hundreds of silk leaves and sticks on shirts, then added nests, birds and feeders. I had a sign on my head that said "Up with Trees."
i think i saw you in woodward park... you were marked for removal...
we gave out 1500 pieces of candy at 3 pieces per kid... they started coming at 5:30, it was all completely gone at 9:45...
our street is a madhouse... we love it...

Mrs. Grizzle, do you have a photo of Grizz with his mask on??? [:D]
Got yelled at last night. We have a very active Trick-or-treat neighborhood. Hundreds of kids having fun.
One mom with a mini-van full of kids, driving at about 40 down the street talking on the cell-phone, learned how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsy pop when it's lobbed at your windshield.
She had the guts to get out of the car and ***** ME out. So I told her she was going at least 25 miles an hour too fast past my house, and I had spent so much time and energy decorating that I didn't want her to miss out on my fabulous treats, so I threw one at her.
Way to go spoonbill.
Speeding through neighborhoods irks me too.

Haha, he really does look like a natural Peter Griffin doesn't he?
We had over 250 goblins. Ran out of candy and made a candy run to MedX where I found others looking in vain for more treats. We closed up about 8:45 and the crowd continued for another hour.
Why? Because my neighbors were featured in the World Sunday and were offering FULL SIZE candy bars and a well decorated front yard. They had as much fun as the kids.
They're already talking about Chrismas. Helicopter bait for sure.
I live on 26th St., just east of Yale. I was a fuddy-duddy this year and left lights out and did not give out candy. I peeked out the windows many times last night and never saw any little spooks or goblins. I guess these days most kids partake in the shopping center trick-or-treat, or gravitate to the candy-rich neighborhoods such as Maple Ridge.
I gave out candy last year, and only had 5 children the whole night long. Didn't think it was worth the effort this year to buy candy, since I usually end up eating most of it myself!

We only had teenagers and college aged students[:O] I was shocked! First time I ever saw so many grown PEOPLE trick-or-treating. What happened to the little ones?[|)]
I've just moved in here and had quite an assortment of "trick or Treaters" Spiderman, Batman, rainbow trout and some poor little boy in his sister's too too.
But, I'm just a little perplexed with the one's that just want candy and don't dress-up!
Busiest doggone Halloween since I moved here. The kids cleaned us out by 8:45.
I had to close the door, turn out the lights and hide. [:I]
If you don't dress up your begging, not trick or treating...
