Title: Reasor's Rebates - Ummm...?
Post by: OkieDiva on April 27, 2008, 10:12:37 PM
So Oklahoma's homegrown grocery story wants you to spend your rebate there. But the question is, how much is it worth to you?

Channel 6 says:
"Once the check is cashed, for every $300, Reasor's will give you a gift card worth $325.

'You don't have to turn the whole check into a rebate to get a gift card. But, you would need to do at least $300 to qualify, beyond that it would just be up to the customer.  We'd give the rest back,' said Doyle Kirk with Reasor's."

Channel 2 says:
"Reasor's is offering an incentive if you spend at least $300 of your check at their store.

For every $300 of your check you put on a gift card, you'll get $25 in free groceries, not to exceed $100."

WHICH IS IT? $325 for $300, or $25 for $300?
I have my thoughts... but I'm wondering how one could get it so wrong?!?

Pretty sure they are saying the same thing, just in a slightly different way.

Sounds like they are selling $325 gift cards for $300 and $650 gift cards for $600, and so on.

Sears and Kmart are offering the same thing.  And I would bet that WalMart will not be far behind.

lol.  How about gas stations? QT?!?  $325 would go pretty fast at QT in my family.

There is a good chance I'll drop $300 on a Reasor's gift card.  If they never expire I could get a pair.  Eventually I'll spend that much and it may as well be at Reasor's, so why not take an 8% instant return on investment?

Thanks for pointing this out.  Now remind me of it when my check comes!

Quick Trip would be a good idea, but I am guessing they dont feel they need any help getting people to stop in.They know discount or not, your still going to stop in as usual.

Reasor's must be skimming our forum.  They had a news story on KRMG explaining it today.  $25 per $300.  If you had a check for $450, they would give you $150 cash back and a gift card for $325.

I don't know about the rest of their locations, but the one at 15th & Harvard seems abusively higher priced than other stores.

I have shopped at all of the Tulsa area Reasor's do to the grocery delivery business and the "in store specials" is the biggest difference amongst the Tulsa area Stores. There is a smaller inventory in Jenks. The Jenks location doesn't have the specialty items like the Tulsa area stores, on the other hand the Jenks location has the largest "Asian" or Seafood selection of all the Tulsa area Reasor's.  Reasor's now accept's online coupon's which is a bonus.  On average I save 25 percent by using coupons meaning shopping at Reasor's for me price wise is like you shopping at Wal-Mart without coupons.

One other thing www.reasors.com shows you the higher volume items which every store carries.

Food selection at Food Pyramid at 51st & Harvard keeps getting better and prices are reasonable.
