Hi there!  Does anyone have any experience with Advantage Home Inspections, AKA Mark Reed?  My wife and I are selling our house and he was the buyer's inspector.  He was here for over 4 hours, and just ripped our house to shreds (figuratively).  He did point out a few legitimate concerns (as a good inspector would) but also pointed out a lot of incorrect things which makes me question his credibility.  For example, he told us that having two electrical panels is illegal and not to code.  I called a licensed electrician and it's not true for remodels of this type where a house is added on and requires additional power.  He pointed out a "hot water heater vent pipe" on the roof that was uncovered, also not to code.  It was actually a sewer drain vent, which doesn't need to be covered.  Countless other things that I've already contradicted by talking to licensed experts.  Just wondering if anyone has dealt with this guy in the past and your thoughts.

Thanks!  That was definitely helpful!

He just did the same thing to our house.  We lost the contract because of his "opinion" and "speculation".
