The next steps include assembling a relocation team consisting of City employees, managers and representatives of Matrix, a consulting architectural firm that worked with the City to study the space configurations for the One-Tech building. Matrix may also assist in providing more detail space planning, based on the preliminary studies of groups that need to be in close proximity to each other and groups that have more interaction with the public...

Is the One Technology Center getting ready for a new leasee? I wonder if they are staying after they "assist in providing more detail space planning"? Rental revenue is starting to roll in! ;)

I think that's a City floor and will hold the permit offices, some City Council stuff and I don't know what else.

I would imagine the work being done is to accomodate the permit traffic and maybe work for a Council chambers.

I'll remain skeptical of the new City Hall until their old house is sold for a profit, or at least a break even.  All the numbers hinged on the disposal of the old property, which hasn't even been mentioned since they moved into their new shiny home.  As the city tries to pressure other downtown property owners into utilizing abandoned buildings by getting them in usable condition... they abandon their own when it gets run down.
