In State Oklahoma's football program brings in $60,000,000 a year.  They could build a new stadium every 5 years and still be very profitable.  As a whole, the athletic department is more than self sufficient facilities included.

Oklahoma State is funded by T Boone.

Tulsa is a private school and receives no State nor Federal money towards athletics, and never has.  Nor do they get state funding for infrastructure, let alone stadiums.

I agree that accounting can be fudged, but with the revenue figures as verified by Title IX it would be hard to imagine a scenario that the "revenue" sports or the athletic departments as a whole are losers.  Ignoring the entire college experience, advertisement, community involvement vs. colleges shouldn't have programs.

The whole thing is moot to me, I'm a Tulsa fan. [:D]
