Sounds like a very positive move for McNellie's. I wonder how long it will take to transform the Continental Club into McNellie's?
Way to go Elliot!

I was at The Continental for an show a little while back when they announced this. At that time, they said that The Continental would be re-opening elsewhere in Downtown. I"m curious if the article left that out, or if the owner has changed their mind.

Considering that the owner of the Continental IS Elliot, I somehow doubt that he'd change his mind.

Continental was a unique, fun downtown spot. Sad to see it go. But there's no doubt this is a good business move by Mr. Nelson. I went to McNellie's yesterday for $3 burger night with a large group of friends. We put our names down at 5pm (for a group of 8) and got a table at 6:30.

Sweet. I'll keep an ear out for the new location. It was definately a great place.

I figured that the blowout would be the Smoov Monthly party, which had been held at The Continental in previous months. At the last event, the promoters seemed fairly confident that they would be having another event there, but it appears that it has been moved to Templ for the time being...

Why can't those in the news media ever figure out Tulsa's addressing scheme.  At the end of the Tulsa World article, it says "Continental is located at 421 N. First St. in downtown Tulsa."

NO SUCH THING.  Tulsa World.... have we not figured out by now First Street runs east-west.

The only thing I have ever done at The Continental was get hammered at McNellies, then stand at door of The Continental handing out high fives at closing time.

Channel 2 did it this morning.  Reporting on an injury wreck at 'W. 42nd Street and 33rd Street.'

NO SUCH PLACE!  How about W. 42nd and 33rd West Avenue.  Now, your GPS can find that.
