Tom Trimble leaving Tulsa County?

Resume Link

It'd be interesting to know why he's leaving.

AngieB

That doesn't mean he's leaving. LinkedIn is a networking site for professionals.

I have been a member of linkedin for a while.
Power is nothing till you use it.

Guess I misinterpreted the circumstances there.
Just bumped into it on an unrelated Google search.

Tulsa Co. has a director of IT? I had no idea. I consider a lot of Tulsa government websites to be sub-par with OSCN being the exception.

Tulsa County is neither losing its' Director of Technology nor is there any intent to leave.  LinkedIn is an industry site for business professionals and not a job search site.

I use LinkedIn to stay in touch with technology professionals and subject matter experts for a variety of projects and initiatives.  Several members of the Tulsa CIO Forum, including myself, are active on this site for this purpose.

To respond to a subsequent thread, there is actually an effort underway now to update our website.  It should come online within the next 60-90 days.  A lot of helpful information and services are already available there for those not acquainted with it.  I do agree that it is beginning to look a little dated, but we are taking care of that.

Tulsa County maintains a number of large and important systems that provide services to the public including support of the jail, District Attorney's Office, Juvenile Bureau, elected officials and related BOCC divisions.  The website is a very small part of our ongoing responsibilities.

2008 actually marks the 5th consecutive year that Tulsa County has been named among the top ten digital counties in the nation for our effective use of technology according to the National Association of Counties (NACo).  We  consistently produce practical solutions to meet the ongoing needs of local government and the public.

For those who have any additional related questions, please feel free to call me any time at 596-5202.

Thanks for your reply Tom. Glad to hear progress is being made.

Bet the thread title gave you a start...

As I stated above, appears my lack of familiarity with LinkedIn gave me the wrong impression, just upon intial parsing.

At least it was framed in the form of a question. Really wasn't trying to stir things.

Glad to hear you're sticking around.
