The old Wings Hamburger location on East Admiral a block east of Harvard has re-opened.

Believe the owner used to work at the Family Diner when it was located nearby.  Later she was at Linda Mar Burgers at Union and 51st Street.  Think their hours are 11am till 3pm.

Have not tried out their burger, but plan too soon.

I always enjoyed the Family Diner when it was on Admiral. Louise Shewmaker featured older black and white photos on the walls of the diner.  One of which ad an Oertle's Wholesale Drug delivery van in it.  Her father owned the gas station where many of my grandfater's trucks were serviced and that was one of the cool photos on display there.  There is an even older photo of the first Oertle's store in the United States, displayed on the wall in the entrance to Jamil's restaurant.  It is next to the front door.  Circa 1912  Note the Ford Dealer next to to our wagon/buggy dealership, mass produced automobiles had just hit the market.

Someone said there is an article about the burger joint in Urban Tulsa.  Here is one in the Spot:

I'll give the "new" place a try. But I admit missing Brother Arthur's in that location.

Is he still working out of his original truck I wonder?

His fish sandwich with that tobasco sause rocked!  I enjoyed the Jazz music he played while cooking, dude had the Love going on.

Nothing worse than a hater making your food...

Burgers and Fried Pies are not on my Cardiologist list of the food group I am supposed to eat, but I may try a bite from a friends burger there.
