There are two types of this sort of scanner. Millimeter wave, which is what TSA claims to be using, and backscatter xray. They're both tantamount to strip search.

Time to switch my foil helmet and wear it on my other head.  He listens to the voices too.

That would be a great flash mob stunt.  Imagine standing in the security line at the airport and half the people around you all suddenly disrobe and pile there things on the conveyor belt.  Its probably a federal offense....
