Obama apparently intends to bankupt the coal industry (his own words folks):

Seriously.  You're just throwing everything up against the wall and hoping something sticks.

Seriously, you do not think this will play negatively in, say, PA, Va. W.Va., and Ohio?

McCain campaign is robo-calling this story right now in those areas. So it's not just me throwing something up against the wall.

No, it's you looking like FOTD, except you wait to do it two weeks before the election.

It makes you look desperate.  But, then again.

And you're wasting time anyway.  Oklahoma is a red state through and through.

Those people who have made up their minds are going to vote for Obama/Mccain regardless of what pops up.

I like watching you wast your time though.  Maybe the National Enquirer will notice your super research and Google skills and offer you a position.

"But the Drudge Report, the Republican National Committee and apparently even GOP VP candidate Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin fell for completely fabricated news from a shady website called Newsbusters today suggesting the San Francisco Chronicle has ''hidden'' audio with Sen. Barack Obama regarding his statements on coal."

Fabricated = Lies

"Completely fabricated"?  The article is about how the audio was not "hidden", not that Obama made the statement about bankupting the coal industry. It fairly clear in light of this statement, and Biden's comments about coal a few weeks back, that coal producing states have something extra to think about.

Incidentally, the fact that this issue will not impact Oklahoma's vote is immaterial. The fact is that coal is an important natural resource and its use obviously lessens our dependence on foreign sources and reduces the amount of America's wealth overseas (and to countries that would love to destroy us). That impacts all of us regardless of how each state votes.

Have you even watched the video? He specifically says that we should not take coal off the table but that we should use a carbon cap system to encourage the private sector the find the right energy sources and to encourage the development of clean coal technology that would trap the carbon emissions of coal fired power plants.

Spin?

You are seriously reaching today Guido.

I urge everyone to just watch the video, how about that? They can make up their own minds about what he is saying.

The truth is that the world is not going to end no matter who is elected and this country has a very rough couple of years in front of it. If Obama wins I hope he is a fast learner and lives up to the promise of his campaign and doesn't go too far to the left. If McCain wins I hope he learns to make considered instead of rash choices and stops pandering to the far right of the Republican party and leads from the middle. I also really hope he remains in excellent health. Win or lose I hope he does, but especially if he wins.

Here's the funny part: Obama and McCain have no appreciable difference in their stances on climate change.

'"Senator Obama has revealed himself to be nothing more than a short-sighted, inexperienced politician willing to say anything to get a vote," Carey declared.'

I guess he must have pissed the coal industry off pretty bad.  That won't play well in Ohio, Pa, or Va.

Drudge is a sensationalist, and Drudgereport should be viewed for entertainment purposes only, much like Worldnetdaily, and the National Enquirer.

You know, I kinda miss the Weekly World News because they'd be running headlines like:  Obama's Alien Love Child Kidnapped!  or  McCain's Explosive Temper Linked to Climate Change!  or  Sarah Palin's Temper Tantrum in Neiman-Marcus  or  Joe Biden's Secret Tryst with Bat Boy!

I don't know if this is true, but I was told the Weekly World News writers were heavy drinkers.

I'm not nearly as worried about the carbon emissions as the heavy metal emissions, especially the radioactive heavy metals.
