How about an honest politician?

I don't think either party has seen one of those in 200 years.

Once again, the Tulsa World is out of step and has not a clue what the Tea Parties were about:

"... seem to be rallying against taxes in general."  WRONG!

""I'm going to go back to Washington and tell Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama to their face that you're fed up. That you're not going to take this anymore. That you're sick of it," Sullivan told the crowd. Sullivan pandered to the crowd of 3,200 and said that he favored a flat income tax and "that the tax structure needs to be fundamentally changed."

"Sullivan's fiery speech, meanwhile, was populist demagoguery in the finest tradition of Huey Long. "

WOW!  Really fiery.  Why?  Because he's for the flat tax?  Because he's believes the tax structure needs to be changed?  Or because he's going to tell Pelosi and Obama people are fed up?

Get a clue, Tulsa World.

Cats Cats Cats

I think you are missing the point of the article.  The actual article was about the fact that Sullivan actually said something.  The whole tea party thing was just extra fluff.

Really? That's what I thought it was about. Maybe you should clarify.

It's not a rally against ALL taxes.  Most everyone agrees taxes are necessary.  It is a rally against too much tax and wasteful spending.  Huge difference.

The "Tea Party" idea was started by a rant about taking money from responsible people and bailing out irresponsible ones. It was more about the spending but the net effect of the spending is that the money is going to have to come from somewhere eventually. That is how "taxes" got brought into it.

So KRMG and KFAQ are somehow "grassroots"?  When I hear all the bellyaching and angst over the "liberal" mainstream media... can we talk about the Conservative Activist Radio Media???

Buehler?  Buehler?

Here's a grassroots activist for ya:

I'll see yours and raise it one:
