Liz, do you have a web site?  I live in D-4.  I've only seen Barnes and Gomez signs so far and don't know much about your campaign, but would like to know more.

Thanks for asking - You might know that I am a Planning Commissioner. It is excellent training for the council. Here's the League of Women Voters survey and I think there will be an article in the Urban Tulsan next week. No web site yet -

Questions:

1. What are your top priorities for your constituent area?

   a. Local economic development supports, strengthens and stabilizes the community.

   b. Infrastructure: streets, sewer, storm water, transportation, utilities

   c. Land use planning which encourages local economic development; is sensitive to environmental concerns and addresses infrastructure impact.

   d. Increasing the diversity on Tulsa's Boards, Authorities, and Commissions to reflect the population of Tulsa.

   e. Fiscal accountability and review of Public Works.

2. Why should voters elect you?

As a self-employed business owner and head of household income provider I am acutely aware of the everyday issues confronting the home owner and business owner. The City Council affects our quality of living and impacts our property values more than any elected official. Due to exposure of land use and zoning matters as a Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commissioner, I am passionate for the need to have a councilor with planning experience. Citizens need to feel and to know that their city officials are elected to advocate, negotiate and protect their interests.

3. What will you contribute to office if elected?

I will bring my cumulative years of experience in business, education and the community to the city council. Advocating to protect, preserve, enhance and to balance the needs and concerns of District 4 with the city: and to further represent all citizens of Tulsa.  Promoting the unique and distinctive character of District 4 to encourage local economic development to revitalize and energize the heart and soul of Tulsa!

In short, when I became the President of Florence Park I heard and saw needs that required attention. As a TMAPC commissioner, I hear and see needs that deserve attention. As a councilor, I will be able to hear, to see and to do.

I received another mail advertisment today for Dewey Bartlett.  It was mailed out of Oklahoma City using Oklahoma City vendors (political consultants, creative designers, printers, mailers, etc...).  I wonder how many Tulsa people / companies could have done the same work (hopefully even better as you will read below) for the same amount or less.

The Oklahoma City company that did the work was a company called Majority Designs.  Unfortunately, the quality of this firm's work is something to be desired.  They misspelled Dewey Bartlett's name on the cover and then again on the inside.  They spelled it "Dewey Bartlet" in big bold white letters each time.

This is some great quality work coming out of Oklahoma City from Majority Designs.  If you want misspelled mail advertisements use Majority Designs out of Oklahoma City.

Dewey, I think you should get a refund.  Better yet, I think you should use Tulsa vendors if you want to be the Mayor of the City of Tulsa.

Go Tulsa!!!!
