Portion of Peoria Avenue set to close

Just a heads up in case you travel Peoria like I do.

All lanes on a portion of Peoria Avenue will soon be closed for months.

The northbound and southbound lanes will be closed under the I-44 bridge starting the week of October 12th.

ODOT officials said crews will be working on underground drainage.

Drivers will need to use Riverside Drive or Lewis Avenue as the detour routes around the work zone.

The closure is expected to last about three months.

Incentives are in place for the work to finish ahead of schedule.

Yeah, I mentioned in the I-44 Construction thread (http://www.tulsanow.org/forum/index.php?topic=12483.30) that this had to happen sooner or later
