Senator Chris Dodd (D-Countrywide) is retiring.  Has nothing to do with his bleak prospects in the Novemeber mid-term elections supposedly.

I'd guess there's a very cushy lobbying or consulting gig in this asshat's future.

So what say you Democrats about the mid-term 2010 election?

NPR had an interesting show about this.  Best thing for the Democratic party apparently.

They have, what they consider, a much stronger candidate in the wings.

I cannot remember the last election cycle but it seems there have been more declarations to not seek reelection now than before (Sens. Dorgan, Dodd, Co. Gov. Ritter in just the past several days). I could be wrong.

This is good. We need more new blood in Congress.
