I am tired of looking at my old Mac setup in my basement. It dates from 1989 when I used it to start a graphics design and production business. I was just going to garage sale it but I wonder if it might be collectible by now. It was a groundbreaking system, the best of the compact design Macs, and is still operating. Seinfeld has one on his desk! I added some ram to it if I remember right. I also have a 600 dpi apple laser printer, keyboard, documentation and system disks.

Any one know what value it might have? (other than a potential acquarium...)

From ebay it looks like you might get $150 for it, with some patience.

My family tossed a TRS-80 model 1 in the trash many years ago.  A few years after, we heard that the Smithsonian exhibited one as an example of an early microcomputer.

Frankly, I'd be surprised to see the old Mac fetch bigger bucks than a Commodore 64.

The problem with older PCs is they weigh a friggen ton.  So whatever profit you think you might get gets eaten up by shipping costs :(  Plus vintage PC collector's can be a stingy group unless you find someone just getting into the hobby that has a huge bank roll and more $ than brains.

I had a DECKED out P200 for sale for over a year on CL for $100.  This thing was turn-key awesomeness!!!  I never got any emails :(

FINALLY a like minded collector got a hold of me off the forum and covered my shipping costs and I think threw in like $45 for my troubles.

Your best bet is to find a Vintage Mac forum... either that or take a road trip to a bigger metropolis.
