The ads I've seen have a bit of a Hooters/Twin Peaks look to them.  Is is that kind of a place?  Or, would my wife feel comfortable being there?

This place is utterly atrocious. I went here for my friends 21st birthday, we told the bartender (which turned out to be the owner) that it was my friends 21st and all she got was a dollar off her beer and a shot. We shrugged that off and went upstairs. We were taking pictures and talking upstairs then a man came up and told us that the owner wanted us to leave. When we found out why it pissed us off even more. Apparently when my friend (birthday girl) was downstairs waiting for her beer and shot watching a football game and drumming to the music it pissed the owner off. To make madders worse when the birthday girl asked why we were being asked to leave the owner said the birthday girl was rushing her, called her a "grumble" and told her "to get the love out of her bar". If it hadn't been her birthday I would have climbed over the bar and kicked her donkey. Don't go here unless you like crappy service with an attitude.

BTW: The Brewhouse on 35th and Peoria was awesome. Next time I fly from Denver for a night at the bar that's where I'll be.

Hmm...one time poster.  AND just registered today.

Not trying to be mean here but a story like that usually won't fly without corroboration until you have a few posts under your belt.  It smacks a bit of retribution.  Not saying it didn't happen, but it looks and feels a bit like a drive-by.
