I'm interested in comments / opinions regarding the Republican Primary for Tulsa County Commission - District 3 race.  The candidates are Fred Perry, Drew Rees and Michael McMasters.

I don't live in the district.  I've never heard of the McMasters guy.  Rees is represented by Jim Burdge.  That is all I need to know to not vote for Drew Rees.  Besides the bad press Perry has received lately, I have always thought he was a decent public servant.  My vote would go to Perry if I lived in the district.

I've been pretty happy working with Fred Perry. I also really like Drew Rees.

I also don't live in the district. They spray for Democrats in south Tulsa.

Good thing me and RM live north of 41st then...

Yep.  You can probably come south of 51st if you have an air pack like the firefighters use in a building fire.  I don't think a simple carbon canister respirator like painters use would be sufficient.

I grew up with Drew.  He's a great guy.  He and his wife are very kind and honest to a fault.

I don't know anyone who could say otherwise.

I usually get a little nervous when going south of 41st anyway.  When I go to the midtown Best Buy or points further south than that you won't ever find me without an antidote kit.

I was really ambivalent about both of them until I heard Fred Perry's radio ad. Apparently the only way he has to promote himself is to point out that Drew Rees was the person who advised the council that they could kick Dewey out of an executive session discussing Dewey.

That's it. Basically the race for COUNTY office should be solely decided on whether you support Dewey or the Council.

As of this morning, I wouldn't vote for Perry if he paid me.
