Colorado GOP gubernatorial candidate, Dan Maes might be the final catalyst to get me to change my voter registration to IND.  What a tinfoil hat wearing idiot.  He belongs in the same dustbin as Sally Kern and Rex Duncan.

"Republican gubernatorial candidate Dan Maes is warning voters that Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper's policies, particularly his efforts to boost bike riding, are "converting Denver into a United Nations community."

"This is all very well-disguised, but it will be exposed," Maes told about 50 supporters who showed up at a campaign rally last week in Centennial.

Maes said in a later interview that he once thought the mayor's efforts to promote cycling and other environmental initiatives were harmless and well-meaning. Now he realizes "that's exactly the attitude they want you to have."

"This is bigger than it looks like on the surface, and it could threaten our personal freedoms," Maes said."

I see little green men too, Dan!

Don't do it.  Closed primaries.

Maybe that's his point...I know if it weren't for the damnded closed primaries in Oklahoma, I'd be an Indie in a second.

Yeah, don't do it. Fixing the Republican party isn't achieved by leaving it to the nuts and squirrels. Closed primaries give (I)s less political power. Until there's a real middle road party or open primaries we are best staying with our hugely imperfect parties.

That just frustrates the bucking smile out of me...

The GOP represents so little of what I believe in anymore.  Can I at least sue the class of '94 for breach of contract?

The Republicans can afford giving little to the teabaggers and the religious right.  If they're alienated from the GOP, who are they going to turn to - the Democrats?

May you live in interesting times.

That thought got hell of a laugh out of me.
