How many other soldiers have performed acts of bravery, and acted above and beyond? Why is it we only hear about a very few? This man is one of many, and we should all know about them.

I truly appreciate their service and commitment to our country, I can't imagine the sacrifice.  I do not mean any disrespect to the soldiers but I must speak my mind.  The "they are over their fighting for our freedom" mantra is old and played out.  While they are over their killing people and collecting their fingers for souvenirs (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/sep/09/us-soldiers-afghan-civilians-fingers) they are growing the base of anti-American radicals.  The people in Afghanistan and Iraq that live in tents and caves are no threat to us.  The real threat is here at home, The Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, and illegal wiretapping that our own government has put in place destroying our constitutional foundation.  You can now be illegally imprisoned and tortured for FOUR YEARS and be found innocent and released and there is NO RECOURSE for you (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/sep/09/us-court-binyam-mohamed-torture).  This is setting a precedent for our country that is about as disturbing as Nazi Germany.
