Do any of you guy's watch the UFC ?
I have been a fan for many years and like to watch the fights depending on who is fighting. I seldom do the pay per view because the length of most of the fights. It is really hard to get behind some guy who has fought maybe 3 or more fights.
But I now have found that watching Brock Lesnar make the transition from scripted competition to real has been very entertaining. I like what he has added. It's almost like a UFC Mike Tyson. You either hate or like the guy(I like him)
I have paid for two of his fights including this Saturday nights fight card.

I was also a huge Boxing fan my whole life, and have soured on the Boxing World since the Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis fiasco a few years back. It just started to seem that decisions were being made as to set up high dollar rematches. I had always been a Heavyweight follower but started to watch more of the lower weight classes because of the fighters being better fights. I'm still waiting to see what Boxing is going to do to get the loyal fans back, and start once again buying the pay per view that they dominated back in the day.

Doesn't do a thing for me.

I am a big MMA fan and I watch almost all the UFC PPV fights.  You should also watch "The Ultimate Fighter" on Spike because it is entertaining to watch.  I also like Strikeforce which is free on Showtime and I watched it live in Tulsa at the Spiritbank Center once.  It annoys me how much the UFC PPV costs so I always go to a bar and spend the money on drinks.  I also like to watch the local fights by the Xtreme Fighing League which is run by Dale "Apollo" Cook.  Chuck Norris also has his own MMA league that comes to Tulsa and it is great to go and see Chuck Norris there.

I'm in if they ever allow lirpas and the appropriate music.

Townsend. That would be American Gladiators. Theirs looked like oversized Q-Tips.
Not real sure about the music though.

I disagree.  If they added the blades to the ends of the the Q-tips, they'd have something.

The music would attract a much wider and geekier audience.  Imagine the pocket protector/glasses case market for them.

Brock Lesnar is unbelievable. How is this guy not a major action movie star?

For those of you who don't follow this sport...he is a wrestler (NCAA heavyweight champion in 2000) fighting in mixed martial arts. The opponents come at him with fists and karate moves and he just grabs them, ties them in a knot and throws them on the ground like litter.

He also looks like he is right out of central casting. He comes from a little town in South Dakota and graduated last in his high school class of 54 students. Before MMA he played football for the Vikings and did fake wrestling (acting) for WWF.
Power is nothing till you use it.

My daughter trains along side several of the Xtreme Fighting League fighters and champs. Those guys (and girls) really help with the younger/less skilled athletes and as professionals are worth a look.

Wow ! Did Brock get killed or what ?
Thats what is so crazy about MMA. There is always someone standing in the wings just waiting to smash you out. Brock just has no patience or stand up skills, not to mention a glass jaw that Shane Carwin had already exposed.
Back to the drawing board and hopefully he will adjust and get better in the above mentioned areas.
On a aside note. Tito Ortiz needs to figure out that maybe the sport has passed him by. He like many other athletes try and milk the last Dollar out of a career that is over and find themselves tarnishing what they had earlier made bright.
