Most of these are horrible; I forgot to set my camera down to ISO 200.  It was set for every photo at ISO 1600, so all the deep blues (the sky) look mottled.  I could have thrown my camera across the room but it was my fault.

It was actually kinda busy downtown around the Dome this afternoon.  Not sure if that has something to do with Kenny Chesney playing the MotherShip tonight, but it was nice to see activity in the Dome on a Saturday afternoon.  Hell, for all I know, it may be normal.

I'd sure like to know if anything is being done with this building.  It's the building just west of McNellies across Elgin.

There was a heart walk this morning, but it has been busy all day, even with the concert. Than again, this production is huge, a small town in itself and might account for some if it.

I did an unplanned photowalk this morning too.  Originally, I was going to the Tulsa Flea Market at the Fairgrounds, and I thought it would still be doable even with the Big Gun Show in town.  Big Mistake.  There was parking available, but it was in another time zone.  I left.

I drove aimlessly through downtown, but ended up in Sperry.  There are some nice old red brick buildings and the city hall that may have been an armory at one time.  It's that same sandstone as so many others in the area.

Here are three shots from my 'tinker toy' Canon A590IS.  It has aftermarket CHDK software so it does both JPEGs and RAW images.  There were taken from RAW files, cropped, and slightly modified using Zoner Photo Studio.

The old car could be exposed better, but I lost the detail in the radiator at the proper exposure.  So it's overexposed and the highlights blew out.  No biggie.  I wanted that rusty old car shot.

Tomorrow?  Who knows?

Ed

May you live in interesting times.

That vacant brick building at 1st & Elgin and the massive parking lot at 2nd & Elgin are two major blemishes for the Blue Dome.  Hopefully both are redeveloped soon.

Downtown was filled with people Saturday night...I can't believe how much it has changed in just a couple of years. Everyplace I went was packed.

There were wedding parties, Chesney fans, two events at the PAC, diners...I think critical mass is here.

Why would anyone hesitate building in downtown right now?

And I was still able to park 3 doors down from my destination for free in Blue Dome before dinner and one of those shows at the PAC.

There was a 45 minute wait for a 2 top at Yokozuna if you hadn't made reservations.
