I have heard all my life about how Oklahoma may have other issues, but at least taxes were lower than other states.  And I have known for a good portion of that time that it was a crock of carp.  And now we have more evidence.  Number 5 of the top 5 for highest local and state taxes.

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

I prefer to say you pay for what you get... because you don't always get what you pay for.

Reading the comments, it would appear that there are several errors in the sales tax rates due to local taxes.

I presume that is why it says "average local sales taxes".

I think there were a few claims of errors in the basic state tax level too but most appeared to be county level.  I don't feel like re-visiting the comments.
