Newt failed to get the 10,000 signatures in his home state of Virginia (He lives just south of Washington DC).

What a boob.

How can anyone take his campaign seriously? He now can't even vote for himself where he is registered. How do you not hire people to go door-to-door or hang out at the mall with clipboards? Eight million people live in Virginia and he can't get 10,000 signatures to get on the ballot.

What a boob.
Power is nothing till you use it.

His congressional district - back before he was removed from his Speaker position due to ethics charges and a coup led by John Boner Boehner - was north of Atlanta, Georgia, centered around Marietta, I think.  It should be interesting to see how he does there.  My brother-in-law was a big Gingrich supporter back then.
