I seem to recall that the video only produced a couple of examples of repetition from 2010. Most of the comparisons were to 2011. Regardless, for better or worse, Obama does not control Congressional Democrats.

If you look at measures of ideology among members of Congress, the Republicans are and have long been a lot closer together than Democrats are to each other. Whether that's an effect of the more top down leadership of the Republican caucus or the cause of it I don't know.

I think it was more along the lines of collusion as they systemically raided the treasury from January 2001 to January 2007.
