Good to know the police are out there to protect us from people driving too slowly at 5am.

Kinda like calling out the helicopter on St. Patty's day due to someone calling that people "threw things" at their car on 15th.

There likely was a grant covering the overtime pay of extra officers assigned for St Patty's.
I don't know if that covers a $1250/hr helicopter, though.

Grant money, stimulus money, tax money.   It all comes from my pocket regardless.   Not like the government gets revenues from somewhere else.

Other than borrowing from China, corporate taxes levied on businesses you don't patronize and who aren't suppliers for businesses you do, tariffs levied on others, user fees, and billions of dollars of other revenue that doesn't come from you.
