+1  That's the most honest reason I've seen yet for not biking!

The velomobiles are more difficult on hills, just like a recumbent.  You can't stand on the pedals, so the vehicle has wide range gears for climbing.  But due to low drag, they're fast on the flats or downhill.  The claim of $1000 savings per month is over-inflated, though.
