Are you a little biased due to certain familial circumstances?  (I have read somewhere on this place that your better half is one....)

My PCP for about 20 years was female and had trained under my Godfather and PCP for the first 20 years of my life.  Her replacement also trained under him, so I've sort of had the same lineage of treatment since I was very little.  Turns out my current one is also used to be an avid cyclist so he understands the disease

Allergy doc was a cyclist.  We went on some FreeWheels and rode together from time to time.
