He was "hired" to fix it.  He hasn't.

In all fairness, all he really offered was Hope & Change.

Impatience and obfuscation aside, the fixing job is still in process. We're damn fortunate that some correct moves were made immediately in 2008/2009 or we would be in deep depression right now.  It took a long time and a lot of players to create this mess and you expect one person, in three years of facing entrenched hatred and fear to pull us out. That would be the job of a demi-god.

Not one of your group wants the country to get better at this point. At least not till after the election of your guy. Best estimates are that we are making progress and will see a return on investment within a couple more years. This is a business cycle not a political screw up as many would have us believe. When the cycle plays out, the economy will rebound. IMO, we are at the nexus of some unusual movements in real estate, technology, finance, health, income redistribution and age (demographics). Our traditionally wealthiest, most consumptive demographic has been robbed of their retirement investments and are not easily employable meaning they spend less, save less and fear for their future which affects everyone. A perfect storm to challenge our system. Our productivity remains high, our labor costs low yet we no longer live in our own little bottle. The rest of the world's sins are now ours.

But in small minds it's just Bush's fault or Obama's fault.

Gas, I was thinking along these lines:

So anything that's inconvenient to your preconceived notions is spin? Good to know.
"Labor is prior to and independent of capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration" --Abraham Lincoln
