Just an FYI, the deadline for submitting claim forms for Oklahoma's Mortgage Restitution program through the AG office is Sept. 13.

I am getting really ticked off over the stories I am hearing over home foreclosures by some banks. That is all.

The double processing stories seem so bizarre. This relates to customers that are in simultaneous mortgage modification and forclosure.  Why can't these banks stop the forclosure until the modification is complete?

You should hear the excuses for this practice. Makes you want to puke.

Have they managed to avoid foreclosing on mortgages they don't even own here in Oklahoma? I know many of the servicers were having some serious trouble with that in some other states.

I am going after a few of these banks right now, but not for that reason. There was a recent Okla. Supreme Court case that took on the standing issue which might be part of what you are talking about.

If you can say without saying anything you shouldn't, how widespread are the abusive practices by servicers/banks here in Oklahoma? I had assumed it would be less of a problem than in other states where the housing market really took a nosedive.

It is hard to say given that many victims perhaps do not even know they have been victimized. The few I have seen pretty much are what you read about throughout the country. Dual tracking, robo-signing, etc..

Give them a break, they were just overworked and under a lot of pressure to move things along.  :P
