I can only hope that QT and their new signs will actually curb some of this behavior. But I highly doubt it. There are arrests that I have seen on the desk blotter for these types of crimes. But after a 24 hour, 3 square meal lockdown. They are free to roam and harass again.

31st and Sheridan and Admiral and Sheridan are really bad for these peoples cons.

Just like the cameras at the federal building, etc., they are more punitive than preventative.
They provide a good record of what happened, once it's already happened.

Thank you topic.
I've now had that stupid "do the hustle" song stuck in my head for a few hours.

When you finally get that one out of your mind, try Disney's "It's a Small World"

Then they will have to go beg at Kum & Go to pay the fine they got when they were arrested at QT.

A woman approached my daughter as she pumped gas one evening here in Owasso.  She had a story about how her car had broken down and she couldn't get home from the grocery store.  While she was doing the tale, a man hovered nearby.  Daughter said it didn't feel right, and when she went inside to pay for the gas, she told the owner what was happening.  He had her stay inside while he called the police.  Meanwhile, she called me on her cell phone, and her brother and I immediately got in the car to meet her.

The couple outside saw what was happening, walked across the street, and then got into a car.  They drove away seconds before the police and I arrived.

So when I hear that QT is going to make their properties inhospitable to scam artists, that only means they'll go somewhere else.  That's ordinary human behavior.  I'm just hoping that they don't see the suburbs as a more attractive alternative to Tulsa.  But if I'm approached by one of these scammers, I'll try to get some photos.

May you live in interesting times.

Back in 2001 I was at the QT on 15th & Denver when a guy approached me for money. I told him to go away. He persisted and when I told him to go away a second time he grabbed my shoulder as I turned to walk from the pump into the store. He probably regretted it once he sobered up/came down.

When I worked nights at 11 and Utica (old old store, when it still faced southeast), I had to tell the pan handlers to move along at least 2-3 times a night.  During the day time hours, it just feels uncomfortable, when it is dark it feels uncomfortable and straight up scary.
