Do you think this will work?
I like the idea of it being a developmental league for the NFL.
I would also like to see Tulsa be considered to bring back the Outlaws.

I would love it. I was just 14 but I remember going to some of the Outlaws home games back in the day.

The NFL needs a developmental league, other than the NCAA, where the teams can farm out their players much like minor league baseball.

If Oklahoma were to get a team it damn well better be in Tulsa and not down the turnpike with the tailpipe suckers in OKC.

Good idea - farm clubs rather than colleges.  Get rid of all the college sports.  Then the universities can get back to what they are supposed to be doing - educating people!

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

Although I like the idea in theory, DB... turns out to be a hoax...
If you'd like to contact the commissioner, he'll be in his trailer, unavailable for comment...    ;D

Quote1. Mr. Dwyer foolishly posted a free press release on PR.com in an attempt to drum up traffic to his site. Here the link: http://www.pr.com/press-release/101943[/url:24100kls]

2. Notice on the press release, Mr. Dwyer foolishly listed his home phone number. It's 310-539-3837.

3. Go to YellowPages.com and do a reverse lookup of said number. You get Mr. Dwyer's name listed as the number's registered owner AND his address. His address is 23701 S Western Ave Spc, #130 Torrance, CA.

Here's the link to the Yellow Pages reverse lookup: http://anywhoyp.yellowpages.com/findaperson/phone?from=AnyWho&fap_terms%5Bphone%5D=%28310%29539-3837+&btnsubmit.x=53&btnsubmit.y=12[/url:24100kls]

4. Go to Bing and/or Google Maps and punch in that address.

5. Voila! Our friends at Bing and/or Google take us straight to a trailer park in California.

Here's the link to Mr. Dwyer's prefab house: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&expIds=17259%2C24279&sugexp=ldymls&xhr=t&q=23701+S+Western+Ave+Spc%2C+%23130&cp=29&wrapid=tljp129459812038600&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq&hnear=23701+S+Western+Ave%2C+Torrance%2C+CA+90501&gl=us&ei=4v8pTbrqNJG4sAO9j7zrBw&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=title&resnum=1&sqi=2&ved=0CBYQ8gEwAA[/url:24100kls]

Fail.

There is no "New USFL," no new teams, no new owners, nothing. Not unless you believe a dude in a $45,000 prefab house is starting a football league.

That said, I wonder about the theoretical business model versus Arena Football... back in 1984? we had Doug Williams as quarterback and the team was professional.
30 years later, in 2014, I wonder how a concept like that could work... presumably in larger non-NFL cities like Knoxville, Birmingham, Orlando, LA, Omaha, etc etc... travel costs? compared to what the Talons had the year before selling their team to San Antonio?  I'd assume there'd have to be more players on the travel roster than arenaball...

Would be great for them to start another version of the United Football League:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Football_League_(2009%E2%80%932012)

The UFL didn't have enough teams to sustain it and they were too far apart (Las Vegas, Sacramento, Omaha & Virginia) geographically.

There are a number of cities in the United States where a mid-major football league could survive.  Take these cities on the west coast and midwest:  Amarillo, Des Moines,  Las Vegas, Little Rock, Omaha, Oklahoma City, Portland, Sacramento, San Jose, Shreveport, Tulsa and Wichita; any eight of these 12 cities could be a good starting base.

Maybe someone will come up with a league where travel wouldn't be too expensive (mostly bus) and have another contract with a CBS sports affiliate.
