Tulsa Now's May forum will host a presentation by David Blatt about the Oklahoma Legislative Session entitled: The Good, The Bad and The Crazy.  As the legislation enters into its final weeks, David Blatt will focus on the state's budget situation, how a significant shortfall came into fruition, and the impact on the state as well as any options to remedy it.

David Blatt, Oklahoma Policy Institute (OK Policy) is a non-partisan independent policy think-tank. It was launched in early 2008, growing out of work that had previously been conducted by the public policy department of Community Action Project of Tulsa County (CAP Tulsa).  OK Policy promotes adequate, fair, and fiscally responsible funding of public services and expanded opportunity for all Oklahomans by providing timely and credible information, analysis, and ideas.

Blatt helped found OK Policy in 2008 and became the organization's Executive Director in 2010. His work involves conducting research, writing papers, and giving public presentations on state budget and tax policy, poverty, health care, and various other subjects. He writes a weekly column, "Prosperity Policy", that appears in the Journal Record and is a frequent contributor to the editorial pages of the state's leading newspapers.

David Blatt will answer questions presented by TulsaNow as well as questions from the audience as time allows.
