Well, Tulsa finally made it to big time news. Not that house prices are up 50% (like CA) or the IDL went WiFi (like several cities) or crime was down to the lowest level since 1965 (like Chicago) – nope, the editorial page of the NYTimes on the Tulsa Zoo.

The editorial was a back-handed compliment on the reversal of the Board – after their initial article on the controversy and the fact that it hit every wire service in the country. You know who reads the NYTimes? Like everybody! And surely the bankers and the money movers who supply capital to the world.

You know what all this makes us look like? I will tell you what – HICK CENTRAL!!!

Well I for one am sick and tired of the town's reputation being constantly degraded by the religious right. That and an inept city administration. A lot of people need to get really, really mad. I know I am.

When I made a comment in another thread about the religious right one of the other "leaders" of this forum suggested "move." That's a real enlightened comment. Well, a lot of people have moved and if it continues there will be nothing left of this place
