As some of you might have heard, the "Gayly Oklahoman" has put to bed its last issue this January. The Gayly had been printing for over 22 years.

You can read more about the history of the paper at the following link:

I am curious to hear what some of you think on the possibility of a new paper. Over the past five years I have noticed that "Gay Pride" is kind of on the low key. I recall back in the 90's when people would wear rainbow colored everything, had huge planning committees for events though out the year, and would pick up the Gayly every issue. Now it seems that has cooled off a lot. Have Gay people been accepted by the general population and so there is no need for such things, or do you think there is? If there were to be a new newspaper that could be created should be only for gay issues, or should it be more of a liberal newspaper and should deal with all issues, not only gay issues?
