Why aren't the reformers bringing up Great Plains?

I've noticed that the "reformers" of city politics have been conspicuously silent in recent weeks about Don McCorkell's involvement in the Great Plains Airlines debacle.

I mean, I don't know why it *isn't* an issue. McCorkell *is* being sued over it, for Pete's sake.

So ... was Great Plains simply a strawman for the reformers? Or has the furor quieted down for the sake of political expedience, i.e., trying to help Don McCorkell win?

Not that I'm necessarily against McCorkell winning. But for some reformers to raise so much Cain about Great Plains for months on end and then zip their mouths when their guy has a direct involvement seems a *tad* hypocritical.

P.S.: We still haven't seen a report from Chris Medlock over the city council's investigation of the airline deal.
